Bike ride the Chain of Craters Backcountry Byway (32 miles) in El Malpais Nat Monument (only $20!) April 15 - 17

We'll camp and explore Friday at El Morro National Monument (NPS), just two hours southwest of Santa Fe.  Saturday morning we'll truck a few miles with the bikes on a trailer to the start of the ride, a dirt and gravel county rode that borders the West Malpais Wilderness and bikes through a valley of old cinder cones (BLM).  Those that wish to practice bike packing can carry their gear on their bike and others can send their gear ahead to camp (near a cinder cone we can hike) with one of the vehicles.  We'll have a sag wagon following the bikers so that people who prefer to take a break and put their bike on the trailer and catch a ride for awhile can do so, meaning this ride is open to literally anyone who can ride a bike on a dirt road.  You'll have a lot of fun…
